The Managing Partners’ Roundtable (MPR) was founded and is facilitated by Marcia Watson Wasserman, president of Comprehensive Management Solutions, Inc. The original MPR has been meeting since Spring 2002 with its focus of elevating the legal management discussion through the sharing of best practices. MPRs are comprised of managing partners of approximately 50+ boutique and mid-sized law firms in Southern California as well as branch managing partners of large national law firms. New members are accepted by referral and invitation only. The Managing Partners’ Roundtable is currently meeting virtually twice a month.
Each month, members meet for a roundtable discussion on best practices and thought leadership in law firm management, leadership and administration. Recent topics have included: Crafting a Firm Culture, Values Based Compensation Systems for Partners and Associates, Diversity Best Practices, Financial Metrics – Key Performance Indicators, Dealing with Difficult People While Practicing Law, and Innovative Associate Training.
The MPRs also create opportunities for members to network and refer business to one another. Due to the relationships built between members, a significant amount of business takes place. Additionally, most of the meetings provide MCLE credits for attorneys who attend.
